Discovering emotional wellbeing support
When you're ready for a more targeted approach, emotional support sessions can help you to explore your experiences by targeting specific areas of need

My journey to creative emotional support
Having worked in schools for many years, I was given the opportunity to train in CBT-based interventions, ELSA, Nurture and Drawing & Talking. This allowed me to support children with difficulties ranging from bereavement and anxiety, including school avoidance, to experiencing neglect, domestic abuse and growing up in care.
I have seen first-hand the positive effect that individual emotional wellbeing sessions can have, providing a safe space for young people to work through their emotions and build their confidence, helping them to feel emotionally stronger and prepare them for the future.

Who benefits from emotional wellbeing support sessions?
Targeted emotional support sessions can be helpful for lots of different areas in life, from struggling with social relationships, managing strong emotions such as anger or sadness, and coping with anxiety.
Sometimes just having some breathing space, a place of safety to talk and play, is all you need. Clients may leave feeling more grounded, with improved communication skills and greater self esteem - and ultimately happier.
These sessions are particularly beneficial for school-age children and young people.

What to expect in a session
As with all my work, emotional well-being sessions are entirely client-led.
Each session is individually tailored to meet your needs, providing a safe, confidential space in which to talk, and using activities that are based around your interests. This could include drawing, writing, crafts or games.
While Drawing & Talking and Sand Play are both 12-week programmes, Emotional Wellbeing sessions are more flexible and the programme can be completed in as little as six weeks.
